Brian A. O'Callaghan

FOUNDER & CEO

Brian founded CPI in 1996 to help investment firms and their portfolio companies hire and retain talent. He also spends a lot of time helping clients assess internal issues and weigh growth opportunities. Brian leads the CPI’s day-to-day operations and strategic direction. He manages senior searches and projects at all levels. With the support and leadership of his talented colleagues, Brian has built a close, loyal, collaborative, and entrepreneurial culture. CPI team members work selflessly together, sharing the network, knowledge, and resources of the entire Firm.

Brian has also been involved with several entrepreneurial ventures, most recently as a Co-Founder of the Autism Impact Fund (www.autismimpact.fund).

As a result of COVID-19, Brian created an online forum called Hearts, Minds & Souls to help business leaders manage COVID’s impact. It then evolved into a multi-faceted weekly forum covering a wide range of topics including health, science, business, race and equity, social reform, sports, music, family, education, entertainment, and geopolitics with a myriad of high-profile participants and guests.

Prior to founding CPI, Brian was a Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle and an Analyst at Morgan Stanley in Real Estate Investment Banking. Brian is on the Board of Trustees for the King School and serves on the Endowment Committee and the Athletic Task Force. He is also on the Board of Trustees for the Berkshire School and serves on the DEI and Endowment Committees. Brian is a graduate of The Lawrenceville School and Denison University where he played football and lacrosse.
